Steel Structure Chicken Slaughterhouse Project in Algeria

Project Overview

The Algeria Chicken Slaughterhouse Project is an industrial steel structure building developed for poultry processing operations.

Located in Algeria, the project was completed in 2014, with a building size of approximately 54 × 24.5 × 5 meters.

The structure was designed according to the project's local environmental requirements, including a basic wind load of 0.5 kN/m² and a snow load of 0.3 kN/m².

For the steel frame, SANGO applied a hot-dip galvanized coating to enhance corrosion resistance and long-term durability.

The project was completed in approximately 50 days.

More importantly, this project represents a long-term relationship rather than a one-time delivery.

In 2024, ten years after the original construction, SANGO's business team returned to Algeria and revisited the project, taking new photographs of both the exterior and interior.

The comparison between 2014 and 2024 provides real-world evidence of the building's long-term performance.

50-Day Overseas Construction

For this project, SANGO did more than manufacture and deliver the steel structure.

In 2014, SANGO sent professional construction personnel to Algeria to participate directly in the installation process.

Our Chinese technicians worked together with local workers throughout the construction process.

The SANGO team not only participated in the steel structure installation, but also shared practical installation techniques and construction experience with local workers.

This approach helped ensure that the steel structure was installed correctly while also improving the local team's understanding of steel building installation methods.

The cooperation between the Chinese and local teams was highly effective, and the entire project was completed in approximately 50 days.

This overseas construction experience demonstrates SANGO's ability to support international customers beyond factory production and product delivery.

10 Years Later: Real-World Quality Verification

One of the most valuable aspects of this project is the 10-year follow-up.

The building was completed in 2014.

Ten years later, in 2024, SANGO's business team returned to Algeria and visited the project again.

The team documented the current condition of the building through photographs of the exterior and interior.

After approximately ten years of operation, the maintenance panels remained in good condition, with limited visible material deterioration and relatively little noticeable color fading.

This is particularly meaningful because a chicken slaughterhouse operates in a relatively humid industrial environment, where building materials and protective systems can face demanding conditions over long periods.

Rather than simply claiming that our buildings are durable, we prefer to show the actual condition of a project after years of service.

2014 → 2024

10 Years of Real-World Performance

Corrosion Protection for Humid Industrial Environments

Different industrial buildings require different levels of corrosion protection.

A chicken slaughterhouse, food processing facility or other humid industrial environment may require additional consideration when selecting steel protection and building envelope materials.

For this project, the steel frame was treated with hot-dip galvanized coating to provide enhanced corrosion resistance.

SANGO does not use exactly the same protection system for every building.

Instead, we recommend suitable corrosion protection according to the customer's actual application and environmental conditions.

Factors considered may include:

  • Local climate

  • Humidity

  • Building application

  • Operating environment

  • Expected service life

  • Customer requirements

  • Maintenance conditions

Our objective is to match the protection system with the actual requirements of the project rather than simply selecting the lowest-cost option.

Engineering & Structural Design

The building dimensions are approximately:

54 × 24.5 × 5 m

The project considered the following environmental design parameters:

Basic Wind Load: 0.5 kN/m²

Snow Load: 0.3 kN/m²

The steel structure system provides an efficient structural solution for the functional requirements of a poultry processing facility.

The prefabricated steel components were manufactured according to the engineering requirements before being delivered to the project site.

SANGO's overseas technicians then worked with local workers to complete the steel structure installation.

This combination of factory fabrication, professional engineering and onsite technical support helped maintain consistency between the designed solution and the completed building.

Quality Control & Material Traceability

For SANGO, quality is not simply a statement used during sales.

It means delivering what has been promised.

From engineering and material selection to steel fabrication, surface treatment and final delivery, every stage is subject to quality control.

We prioritize reliable materials and established domestic brands instead of competing purely on the lowest price.

For customers requiring additional verification, SANGO supports:

  • Third-party inspection

  • Factory audits

  • Material inspection

  • Quality verification

  • Product traceability

  • Manufacturing process inspection

Our quality management and international project experience are supported by certifications and third-party inspection credentials including:

ISO 9001

CE

SGS

BV

TÜV

V-Trust

Product and material traceability also helps customers understand where key materials come from and how they are controlled throughout the manufacturing process.

Our principle is simple:

What we promise is what we deliver.

Long-Term Service & Customer Commitment

For SANGO, completing a building does not necessarily mean ending the relationship with the customer.

The 2024 visit to this Algeria chicken slaughterhouse is a good example.

Ten years after the original construction, our team returned to the project and documented its current condition.

This type of long-term follow-up allows us to better understand how our steel buildings perform under real operating conditions and provides valuable experience for future projects.

More importantly, it reflects our approach to international business:

Build Well. Deliver Responsibly. Stay Connected.

A building can demonstrate its real value not only on the day it is completed, but also after years of actual use.

Project Value

The Algeria Chicken Slaughterhouse Project demonstrates the importance of combining appropriate structural design, corrosion protection, material quality, professional installation and long-term service.

The project was completed in approximately 50 days, with SANGO technicians working alongside local workers and providing practical steel structure installation guidance.

Ten years later, the 2024 follow-up visit provided a valuable opportunity to compare the building's condition with its original completion.

The 2014–2024 comparison is more than a project record.

It is a real-world reference for the durability and long-term performance of SANGO's steel building solutions.

SANGO provides customized steel structure solutions for:

  • Chicken Slaughterhouses

  • Food Processing Plants

  • Poultry Facilities

  • Industrial Workshops

  • Manufacturing Buildings

  • Production Facilities

  • Agricultural Buildings

For each project, we consider the building's application, local climate, structural requirements and expected service life to develop an appropriate building solution.

Our goal is not simply to provide a low-cost steel building.

Our goal is to provide a reliable building solution that continues to deliver value years after completion.
